Daily limits protect the free tier from abuse — they reset at midnight UTC. Anything without a credit tag beside it costs nothing at any pricing tier, and this table is generated from the same settings the app enforces, so it cannot drift out of date.

Your first color analysis each day costs nothing at all, so finding your season is never a question of balance. On top of that a free account starts with 10 credits — two hairstyle previews, or 3 extra analyses in one day. After that, checking in earns 2 credits a day, and every 7-day streak adds 2 more — three days in a row is another hairstyle preview. Free credits (the 10 at sign-up and everything check-ins add) last 30 days and top out at 30 unspent. Credits you pay for are never touched by that clock.

Pricing questions, answered plainly
What exactly is a credit?+
A credit is what you spend on an AI run, and the two runs are not priced the same: a color season analysis costs 3 credits, an AI hairstyle preview 5. The gap is the real cost gap — a hairstyle preview generates a full image, an analysis reads one. Credits are the currency here, with one stated exception: your first color analysis each day is free, signed in or not, and only the runs after it cost credits. There is no other pool of "free daily uses" hiding anywhere. Anything that runs in your browser (hair color try-on, face shape, Kibbe, every quiz) costs nothing and never will, because it costs us nothing.
Do credits expire?+
Credits you buy in a pack never expire — not after a month, not after a year. Free credits do: the 10 you get at sign-up and everything daily check-ins add sit in a separate pool that lasts 30 days and holds at most 30 unspent. The 300 monthly credits included with Pro reset with each billing month and do not roll over. Spending always drains free credits first, then Pro's monthly pool, and only then the credits you paid for — the balance you bought is the last thing to go.
How does this pricing compare to a real color analysis appointment?+
An in-person session in the US typically runs $150–$400, and a virtual consultation $169–$300; subscription styling apps generally sit between $8.99 and $15 a month. Our analysis is free, the handbook is a one-time $12.90, and Pro is $9.90 a month you can cancel at any time. The trade-off is honest: a human consultant drapes real fabric on you, we measure a photo — which is why we do not charge you to find out your season.
Is the color analysis really free, even without an account?+
Yes. Without an account you get 1 analysis a day, no email required. With a free account you also get 1 free analysis every day — that one never touches your balance — plus 10 credits to start with and 2 a day for checking in. Nothing here is a trial that ends; the check-in button never stops working.
What does the Pro plan include beyond credits?+
Pro tops you up with 300 credits every month — 60 hairstyle previews, 100 analyses, or any mix — plus an unlimited chat stylist. Past your monthly credits, any packs you own kick in automatically, and your first month alone covers the 250 credits the Color Handbook costs to redeem, with change left over.
Can I cancel Pro at any time?+
Yes. Cancelling stops future charges; your plan and remaining monthly credits stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, and any purchased pack credits remain yours forever.
What is your refund policy for pricing questions gone wrong?+
Credit packs and the Color Handbook carry a 7-day no-questions refund. Refunding a pack removes its credits from your balance; refunding the handbook closes its link. Write to contact@colorseasonai.com and we will sort it out.
